Captain O'Connor and I started with two rounds of two-player Zark City, each of us winning once.

We then decompressed with a little Treehouse, roping in a spectator who was curious about our quick little game.

Ensign Fogus came aboard, and we switched back to Zark City, retaining our Treehouse neophyte.  (Let it be known that I prefer ZC with 3 or 4 players.)

I then made a point of helping Fogus cross games off his Want To Play List.  We chose Blam, and I deplyed my chessboard bandana.  Working from memory, I accidentally taught the Overloaded variant, which O'Connor liked.  Concluding this, we went again, this time with the standard rules.  Fogus and I agree that the game is much more interesting this way.

The next target from Fogus's List was a pyramid game that I myself have been hoping to play for nearly a decade, Undercut.  It took us a couple of rounds to absorb all the rules for this inverse auction game, and their strategic implications.  But at the end of the game, we all enjoyed it and expected to play it again.

My crew then departed, and I taught Treehouse to a couple more natives, and gave them a tour of the Pyramid Primer as a sampler of the many ways the pyramids can be used for a wide variety of games.

At another table, unrelated to my activities, another group was playing some flavor of Fluxx.

I had forgotten my Lab Coat this month, but as a Zark City spectator (who claimed to be as old an Icehouse veteran as me) pointed out, once they are on the table, the pyarmids themselves are an Attention Magnet.

See y'all in June?
