- ABOUT MY HISTORY WITH LOONEY LABS...
- I met Andy & Kristin at GenCon years ago and have been a fan of Fluxx for a long time. I have always been interested in the Pyramids but was always spending way too much on cards and miniatures to pick them up. After speaking with Kristin at a recent trade show, she got me excited about them as games to play with my children, so I picked some up. I can't wait to get more! I bought some sets to give to the kids for Christmas so they have their own stash. I always promote what I play, so I thought I would try out for the demo team.

- I am married and have two wonderful children. I work for a software company as a support technician and network administrator.I am also a game enthusiast and love to have fun! I have voluteered for different companies over the years as demoer\playtester\TO\EO. I also do a family game night at our church. I am a member of the Who'sYer Gamer group of Indiana which runs a Con in Indianapolis every year. I like to promote the games I love to play in order to get more people to play with. I currently have 2 game stores that I play games at.

Friday night (5\3) I scheduled to do Looney Pyramid demos at the Griffon open game night. Unfortunatly, I got a table in the room where a HeroClix tourney was running. The owner brought me over a couple people looking to play something new, so I gave them the Pyramid 101 spiel and then we played Ice Dice, Martian Coasters and WW5. This years Con was a great success! We hosted almost 1100 people this year and have once again outgrown our venue!This was my first year running events for Looney Labs and I have to say they were a great hit. Fellow Game Tech Mike Cowper ran a basic Pyramid event as well as some Zendo games. I ran Cadet training, which was extremely busy, as well as Fluxx games (also a hit). Who's Yer Con's Looney Lounge 2013
This event was not as successful as I had hoped, but may have been due to the fact that people did not know what it was. Early on, I had a few people show up and play some Pyramid games, but then it dulled a bit. The second hour brought a group who wanted to play Cthulhu Fluxx (I said it was popular) which included a couple other Game Techs, so I joined in. Starship Captain Training @ Who's Yer Con
I will make this one post even though it was 3 sessions. Note to self...next year, plan more time and and allow time for set up and take down. Between sessions I had people waiting for the last to end and me to set up the next.
The event was quite popular and mostly filled with people who had never played or had only just got their first 'Mids.
I have to say running this was a bit overwhelming as a new Game Tech and only having taught my kids and close friends. As people picked…

Are You a Werewolf? @ Who's Yer Con
As I had mentioned in a previous post, people love Are You a Werewolf?. This group was no exception. Preregistration slots filled up fast, and we had people show up and wait for slots to open at the table for a chance to play. Bart Janssens showing up to moderate with his new Deluxe version of the game made the evening even more fun! After several rounds of fun (well past our allotted time) we broke for the night.
