Fluxx The Board Game Demo at Alterniverse

Quality verses Quantity. What's your view?I've always believed in quality over quantity which is a good thing as I would have given up doing demos at Alterniverse a long time ago. If' it's not Magic:  The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Pokemon, expect a low-to-zero turn out. This has always been fine with me. I prefer a small group over a large one as I can devote more attention to each participant.Such was the case this past weekend. Despite all of the in-store and online advertising, only 3 people…See More

Fluxx The Board Game

Just completed my first game of Fluxx The Board Game. Basically it's Fluxx on steroids meets Martian Coasters. It's awesome and I have a feeling it's going to be big!One of the not-readily-apparent aspects of the game is its expandability. Not only can it be expanded by adding cards, like the regular Fluxx line, but also tiles can be added as well with corresponding goal cards. Thanks for suggesting it, Josh, and great job on it, Andy!See More

Looney Labs & Icehouse Academy at NonCon 13

For the 13th year, I, along with Nene and David Joslyn have hosted Looney Labs events at NonCon, held every year at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

This year we did something different. While Nene demoed various Fluxx games, with Cthulhu Fluxx becoming an instant hit, David demoed pyramid games.

The most anticipated event every year is, and most likely will be for the foreseeable future, Are You A Werewolf? was, as usual, a huge smash…

Are You A Werewolf event at Alterniverse

In our sessions, to facilitate interactions, several 'positions' were assigned, such as Mayor, Chief of Police, Executioner and others, including the High Priest(ess) of the Mystic Oracle (Magic 8-ball) who could consult the Mystic Oracle once… Continue
