ABOUT MY HISTORY WITH LOONEY LABS...
I started hosting "game days" at my home when I moved to the D.C. area in 2003. One of my friends brought Fluxx to a game day in the spring of 2004 and someone commented that the company was local. Later that year we picked up Chrononauts at MARCON, just to try out a different game from Looney Labs. In planning our wedding, I started to look a little closer at Looney Labs and their products. After receiving the 2006 Holiday Gift, I immediately purchased a Treehouse set and Martian Coasters, and I was hooked. My husband and I play Treehouse or a Fluxx variant at restaurants while we’re waiting for our food to arrive. I’ve gotten my boss and co-workers addicted to Martian Coasters - we play at lunch!

For our wedding, my husband and I decided to give a Looney Labs game to each couple or family as a wedding favor. Since we were married on Veterans Day, our colors were red, white and blue. Early American Chrononauts and a custom Treehouse set of red, blue, cyan, white, and clear (thought up by the Looneys) were the bulk of the favors. We also had Family Fluxx, Aquarius, and Nanofictionary tied up in patriotic colored ribbons. It was an awesome wedding reception!
ABOUT ME...
My husband and I are raising our first geekling, which of course, has taken over our lives. Before the geekling, I used to keep tropical fish, bead/make jewelry, stargaze, read, and do archery. Like many people in the D.C. area, I’m a government employee. I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio, and I met my husband at the science fiction convention, MARCON.
LOONEY LABS GAMES I PLAY/PROMOTE:
Fluxx, Looney Pyramids, Time Travel Games, Aquarius

Fluxx Fest at Intervention Con

I thought running one little Fluxx event at a small local convention (Intervention Con, Rockville, MD) would be perfect to get my feet wet again after a hiatus from teaching games. Although I had my husband to help, we also had our 7 month old infant in tow. So I made sure to enlist the help of some other Techs, “just in case.”  I scheduled Fluxx Fest for 4pm – 7pm on Friday night, the first night of Intervention Con. I wasn’t expecting a lot of people because table top gaming isn’t a big…
