Last weekend a local coffee shop had a semi regular gamming night that they are trying to make monthly. My wife and I showed up at Gamerz game store a little before noon. I was scheduled to run Looney Labs games from noon-4:00 and 5:00-9:00 and she was running Steve Jackson games for the same period. There was a table set up for me with a sign listing what I would be running (Looney Pyramids, Fluxx, Chrononauts, Back to the Future). I set out a bunch of pyramids, including having a board set up for Caldera, and also my Fluxx, Chrononauts, BTTF, Seven Dragons, and Aquarius.
I host monthly pyramid gatherings at Labyrinth Puzzles & Games in downtown DC on the first Thursday of each month. 6-8pm. It's usually just two or three pyramid fans, plus whatever bystanders from the GCOM crowd that we can press-gang into action.
In the past, I have written nightly recaps as comments on the Event listing, but LL has requested that I write them as Event Reports instead. One Report per month would be too much, so I'm going to combine them into this one thread.
This event was not as successful as I had hoped, but may have been due to the fact that people did not know what it was. Early on, I had a few people show up and play some Pyramid games, but then it dulled a bit.
