Halloween Werewolf at Alterniverse

The sun is rising
The night is over
Everyone open your eyes

Wait, what? There's no one here!

Unfortunately no one showed up for our Werewolf event on Halloween night. Oh, well, can't win them all......just have to keep trying.

Are You A Werewolf event at Alterniverse

Are You A Werewolf was run during Alterniverse's Halloween Extravaganza, which resulted in the purchase of all copies of Werewolf in stock and special orders for more.

11 rounds were played in which the werewolves overran the village 10 times. In our sessions, to facilitate interactions, several 'positions' were assigned, such as Mayor, Chief of Police, Executioner and others, including the High Priest(ess) of the Mystic Oracle (Magic 8-ball) who could consult the Mystic Oracle once… Continue

Zombie Fluxx at Alterniverse

Zombie Fluxx was demoed as part of Alterniverse's Halloween Extravaganza.

Unfortunately, while players liked the game, it didn't generate any sales or interest in other Looney Labs products.

Cthulhu Fluxx demo at Alterniverse

Cthulhu Fluxx was demoed during Alterniverse's Halloween Extravaganza. 1 copy of Cthulhu Fluxx was reserved for future purpose.

Everyone who participated in the demo was given a Hastur promo card.

In addition, everyone who participated was given a Mini Mythos, which is a miniature Cthulhu figurine made by Playroom Entertainment as an expansion to their Unspeakable Words game.

Looney Lounge: Oct 2012

Andy and Kristin hosted the first ever Looney Lounge, an all-day playtest/demo event for Looney Labs games, in College Park, MD. The event went swimmingly and everyone from Looney Labs was thrilled to interact with fans in the area. The Looney Lounge is a brainchild of Kristin's that will be held quarterly at Davis Hall, in College Park, MD. We will also be bringing…

OddCon: Park Inn Telford, UK. October 12th-14th

A regular host for Rabbits/Techs, this convention continued to be small yet busy. On the good side, attendees were friendly, listened when rules were explained and asked before borrowing games to look through. On the down side, they wanted that Horror In Clay promo and weren't taking 'No' for an answer.

I gave the Horror In Clay card out on 4 occasions; as a prize in the two tournaments I ran on each day of the weekend (Friday was left free for unstructured demos). I feel somewhat…

OshCon 2012!

So once again I travelled to Oshkosh, WI for OshCon2012. Since I had a much longer journey and a much smaller car space, I had to lighten my travel load a little, meaning I brought an abbreviated selection of games. I brought with me IceDice, Star, Zombie, Pirate, Cthulhu and Oz Fluxx, as well as Chrononauts, Are you the Traitor? and Aquarius.…

Library Game Demo

This was a game day event at one of the local libraries in my area. The librarian had done a lot of advertising in the library and nearby schools and we got a few people. We played Seven Dragons which went over fairly well as well as a hand of Eco Fluxx. I had just started explaining how Chrononauts works but many of the players had to leave. Overall the event went well, but timing was a bit of an issue as many of the teens were only at the library waiting for their parents to get off of…

Grad Student Game Night @ YSU

I am a Graduate Student in Chemistry at Youngstown State University, and some of the other grad students tossed around the idea of a game night. Tonight was the first of such events and a good time was had by all. All the games that were played were of the Pyramid variety, and the other grad students are well on their way to becoming Starship Captains. We started off playing World War 5. It took everyone a while to get the hang of it, but eventually Africa (me) won the day. Afterwards, I…

Cthulhu Fluxx at Dream Wizards

I did not go into Dream Wizards in Rockville, MD tonight planning on running a Fluxx demo, but the stars were right and the opportunity to run a demo of Cthulhu Fluxx presented itself. In fact, I (and fellow Demo Team member Lara Goodwill) went to the store for the weekly Dungeons & Dragons: Encounters event that I was running for the store. The session was scheduled to last from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, but we ended up finishing up by about 7:55 pm. Luckily we happened to have our demo copy…
