Location: Herndon, VA at a game night.
Games played: Treehouse
Treehouse was chosen because of its simplicity and quick gameplay. 6 different people tried Treehouse. 4 of the 6 had never seen/played it before while the other two had previously played it with me.
Players quickly learned strategy of positioning their own pieces and offensively using the Wild to change the house to prevent other players from winning. It quickly earned props for both its simplicity and quick gameplay (the reasons it was chosen to demo) but also that the level of strategy in the game could become more complex. Treehouse is a very visual game and it was suggested that a print out with pictures of how the different moves work, which is available online, be included with the game (my version comes in the tubes with the quick-play rules on the sides). Players were shown both the rainbow stash and xeno stash colors for their choice of what colors to play. Top comment: "Looney Pyramids are fun!"
