I was in Dayton, Ohio this weekend, visiting my girlfriend, and happened to have some time to stop by GemCon, located at Wright State University. It was a small con, but the fellow who owns the comic book shoppe my girlfriend frequents was running a game room. He's a Looney Labs distributor, and I figured this was as good a time as any to get my demo on. He did not yet have any copies of Oz Fluxx to sell, but he had almost every other type of Fluxx, so I got out my other versions, along with Seven Dragons, and IceDice. I ended up teaching a family how to play Pirate Fluxx, Seven Dragons, and IceDice, and they ended up buying all three! I gave them a spare Treehouse die, and directed them to LooneyPyramids.com so they could learn some other games to play with the pyramids, which seemed to be their big interest in them. Later, I was able to demo IceDice to another family who purchased some pyramids, and played several rounds of various types of Fluxx with other patrons of the con. Unfortunately, it was a very small con, and the game room was somewhat isolated, but all in all, I think it went very well.
