I was running my classic open gaming library, this time at a brand new convention Queen City Conquest in Buffalo NY. I brought all of my games, but as always, the Looney games get a place of honor on the front table. I had my Looney Labs games in a clear display, with WW5, MegaVolcano, Zendo, and many many versions of Fluxx out, as well as a few piles of various promo cards from over the years for people to take. Hastur was by far the most popular. My posters that came with each game were getting a bit ratty from taping them up and pulling them down at each convention, so they were left at home this time.
Most people simply grabbed copies of Fluxx and played on their own, but a few people asked about Ice house and wanted to learn to play a new game. I had three copies of playing with Pyramids out, and when asked, I defaulted to my favorite, Zendo. Everyone who played had a great deal of fun. One person bought a few icehouse stashes for his brother already, and now wishes he had kept it for himself. He's going to be grabbing his own set after having loved Zendo.
Lab Technician Dave Leonard showed up and mastered a few games of Zendo on his own. I grabbed some random passerbys for him, as he needed his Zendo fix.
Chrononauts didn't get any love, and Aquarius sat unopened, but I'd still say the event was a success.

Great report Steven... great to see the Zendo love out there! Thanks to Dave as well. It will be great when the Pyramid Cadet training Kit is out and the folks that play can become Starship Captains themselves!
Cool!
