My fiance is the president of his college's gamer's club (Gamers Anonymous at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI) and when I heard about the college's yearly meetup for all of the clubs to recruit new members, K-Day, I saw it as a great chance to demo some Looney Labs games! Unfortunately I was not able to get pictures since I was busy playing so much, but we had a great time! I brought with me Pirate Fluxx, Cthulu Fluxx, and Star Fluxx, and all 3 were a hit! We had 4 of the regular club members playing with us, and also had about half a dozen other random people jump in and out with games, but we drew a great crowd of just watchers and people asking more about the game and the club. I got some of the biggest feedback about the new "Doom Points" and "Ungoals" in Cthulu Fluxx, as many people were intrigued about having a game that could be lost by everyone, but knowing there could also be that 'saving grace' card that lets someone win after all (making Ungoals a major gamble to play). The custom card I made for Star Fluxx, "Cute Fuzzy Shish-Kabob" also gathered a lot of laughs, as during one round of Star Fluxx, I had one player ask "so how in the heck do we get rid of this little vermin??" and not even 2 turns later did someone play that goal and end the game. (I am adding a picture of the card, so if anyone else wants to steal the idea feel free to, it's lead to a LOT of laughs over the many games I've played with it!) We also saw that another club on campus, the DDR club, had a few versions of Fluxx (including the Japanese) with them and had a great time chatting with them about all the new Fluxx that have come out that they were not aware of and let them know that I was part of the demo team so if they or their club ever want to try out any of the looney games to just shoot me an email and I'd be happy to run an event for them to give them a chance to try out whichever games they want!
