After watching this video, I thought up an intriguing idea for a Surprise card. I couldn't think of anything pirate-like for the name though:

Since there are surprises than can cancel the 4 main card types & Keeper shuffling, why not cancel out another player's ability to draw cards? This card can come in handy if a high draw rule is on the table & your opponent plays "Take Another Turn" and/or "Let's Do That Again" on said card. This card would REALLY shine if your opponent plays something like "Discard & Draw", "Completely Different", "Uh, What Were We Doing?", or utilizes "Get On With It!". They'll throw away their ENTIRE hand & get nothing in return!

On your turn, this card has lots of potential. Imagine "Draw 5" is on the table, & you drew into 2 Creepers. If you play this card, you'll draw 7 cards! Or if you play this after playing "Jackpot"!

I admit, the potential abuse factor can be ridiculous, but the chances of getting more than 5 cards out of this one ARE slim. Especially if your opponent has a Surprise of their own!

I like the pirate font you've chosen.

I also find it interesting that the surprise shown has a turn and out-of-turn function, and that they all can counter each other... I read a mini-preview somewhere where the author noted that there was a surprise for each card type: if there is one for creepers and/or surprises, it'll be interesting to see what they do.

And here's hoping there's a Pirate Paraphernalia goal that involves peg legs and parrots.

Are there any surprises that affect Creepers?
